Questions and answers

Is this betting advice?

No. FanMind is for entertainment and information only. Nothing on it is betting, gambling or financial advice, and it should not be used to decide bets.

Read the terms

Who sees my submission?

You do. On the club side your plan only counts as part of the weighted crowd, inside the strategy packages. No other fan ever sees it.

Why can't I see what other fans picked?

So that every plan is your own read of the game. If fans could see the crowd's picks, plans would drift towards them and the scoring would reward copying instead of judgement. The rule is enforced where the data is read, not just hidden in the interface.

What are Tactical Scenarios and why must I complete one before submitting?

Tactical Scenarios are 10 simulated match situations. Each one scores your tactical choices, and your scored reliability starts with your first. Your weight on real-fixture plans comes from that reliability, so submissions unlock after your first scenario.

What is CoachArena?

CoachArena is FanMind's private club console, where the reliability-weighted output of fans' plans is delivered as a few strategy packages per match. Clubs receive the weighted output in CoachArena, a private console. No club currently receives it.

How is my reliability scored?

Every scenario and every scored real match gives a score for that attempt. Your scored reliability is a running average of those scores in which recent attempts count more. It is provisional until 5 games, and Overall rankings start at 10 games.

What are the 12,000 synthetic participants?

A demonstration dataset: 12,000 generated fans with plans for 19 historical Premier League fixtures, so FanMind can be shown working before many real fans have joined. Their reliability scores are generated, not earned, and they are labelled synthetic wherever they appear.

What do the tiers mean?

Your tier comes from your scored games and your scored reliability, and you need both. Below 5 scored games you are a Fan. Then: Scout, 5 games and reliability 0.55; Analyst, 15 games and reliability 0.65; Expert, 30 games and reliability 0.75; Master, 60 games and reliability 0.85; Legend, 100 games and reliability 0.92.

What are the demonstration participants, and are they in my rankings?

They are the 12,000 synthetic fans of the demonstration dataset, with generated scores, so FanMind can be shown working before many real fans have joined. They are not in your rankings by default: Live fan rankings show real fans only. Switch on "Include demonstration participants" on the Rankings page to see where you would stand among them as well.

Do clubs use this today?

No. CoachArena, the club console, exists and receives the weighted strategy packages, but no club uses it today. The first real fixtures kick off on Saturday, 10 October 2026.

Is my data sold?

Your individual data and submissions are never sold or shared. The aggregated, reliability-weighted output of many fans' submissions, which does not identify individual fans, is the product we intend to license to clubs and media. No such licence exists today.

How we use your submissions

Is the Monte Carlo output a prediction?

No. The simulation compares strategy packages against an opponent model and is labelled uncalibrated. It will only count as calibrated after at least 100 real scored fixtures with a Brier score of 0.20 or better.

What happens after the match?

A club user records the final score and the team's observed tactics from public match coverage. Every plan for that match is then scored, your scored reliability and rankings update, and you can open your own breakdown under Results.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. Send a data deletion request through the contact page and your account and personal data will be deleted. Strategy packages already computed from your plans are kept, because they hold no personal data.

Which sports?

Football (soccer) only. FanMind is built so other sports can be added through a sport registry, but none has been added yet. That is on the roadmap.
